Red filter has a larger number of applications. Some animals can’t see red light so it’s good for night hunting and is good for map reading because it doesn’t disturb night vision. Flashlights with red filters are also widely used for signage.

The edges of the glass lens are reinforced with plastic and O-ring to prevent water and shock. The lens fits the bezel perfectly. Also, the body fits so well in the head that no water comes in. It is made of materials such as silicon. Unlike other company filters, it is a little heavy and big, but thick and strong. It is also deep enough that it does not unintentionally separate from the flashlight.

This item is an excellent accessory to add to your Viking/Predator flashlight system. These filters easily slip onto your existing lite. They appear to be constructed of a durable rubber material adding an extra level of armor to your light. A well-made accessory. Unlike the old-style military angle-head flashlight filters, the Armytek filters appear to be scratch-resistant. Highly recommended.
